We have recently completed an 18 month strategic procurement assignment for Liverpool City Council and amongst other projects, are currently providing procurement expertise to AGMA (the Association of Greater Manchester Authorities).
Our procurement / management consultant Jo O’Neill is available to work UK wide on an ad-hoc; rolling interim or fixed term contract basis providing innovative support and cost saving solutions to your procurement; project and training requirements. Jo has extensive experience of strategic procurement including tendering across a wide range of commodities; plus management of diverse projects; the design and conduct of training and process re-engineering.

Jane Babes is our Technical Author who is available to provide professional document production and management services either remotely or at your premises, ranging from the preparation of one-off documents to the authoring and design of complete document suites and library/content management systems.

Jo O’Neill
Managing Director and Procurement / Management Consultant
Originally qualifying as a barrister in 1995 after completing a Law degree at Liverpool University, Jo moved into procurement in 2000, gaining her MCIPS in 2006. Jo has 5 years public sector experience working as Procurement Manager for Cheshire Police; Procurement Manager for the Merseyside Collaborative Procurement Project (MAP) and as a Strategic Procurement Consultant.
Prior to this Jo worked as a manufacturing buyer in the private sector for four years supporting just in time production systems purchasing timber and electronic components plus indirect supplies. Previously Jo carried out legal roles including an external auditor for the Legal Aid Board.
Jo is currently studying part time for a Masters degree in Public Procurement Law and Policy at Nottingham University.

Sue Wilkinson
Business Manager and Project Support
Sue ran her own light engineering business for 18 years prior to selling as a going concern. Prior to setting up Flying Squirrel with Jo, Sue worked for the police for 14 years as a detention officer, where Sue was instrumental in the establishment of diversity groups.
As a swimming coach, Sue has taught may thousands of people to swim including many international swimmers.
Sue is currently studying towards CIPS qualifications.

Jane Babes
Technical Author
Jane trained as an air traffic controller in the RAF and swam internationally for the RAF and Combined Services Team.
Since leaving the RAF in 2000 Jane has worked in Operations Control and Management including responsibility for all company library documentation including aircraft and crew manuals for Airtours; My Travel; Thomas Cook; Ocean Sky and VLL.
Jane was a junior international swimmer and still holds some national English school records. Jane currently also works as a freelance swimming teacher conducting teaching and training sessions for Liverpool City Council and on a private basis.
